Over the years we’ve built strong relationships with tanneries across the world, and we’ve selected just a few to offer at The Tannery Row. We choose to partner with tanneries that not only create the highest quality leather, but also have the highest standards for their production process.
ARAZZO UPHOLSTERY LEATHER
Arazzo is premium German and Italian-made upholstery leather. With over 20 varieties and endless color options, Arazzo has your project covered. This leather is best suited for both upholstery as well as handbag and small leather goods.

No, Arazzo is only available as a whole hide.
Is Arazzo a tannery?
No, Arazzo is the name we’ve given to a collection of leather that we’ve curated. The Arazzo leathers all have similar characteristics, so we’ve grouped them together.
TEMPESTI
Tempesti is an Italian tannery that’s been producing high quality vegetable tanned leathers for more than 70 years. The Tannery Row carries six varieties of Tempesti leather, each with multiple color options. Tempesti’s leathers are unique for their suppleness and their color variety. Tempesti is great for bags, handbags, and small accessories.
Tempesti is a founding member of the Italian Vegetable Tanned Vera Leather Consortium, which regulates, protects and guarantees the production of vegetable tanned leather in Tuscany. You can read more about it here: https://www.pellealvegetale.it/

Understanding the Tempesti Names:
Elbamatt, Baku, & Maine - are the base tannages. We carry 3 main types of Tempesti leather.
Elbamatt - Single Butts (8-10 sf)
Baku - Single Butts (8-10 sf)
Maine - Double Shoulders (12-15 sf)
Liscio, Lux, Eco Lux – are the finishes.
Liscio means smooth in Italian
Lux – the leather has a subtle sheen on it
