ARAZZO UPHOLSTERY LEATHER
Arazzo is premium German and Italian-made upholstery leather. With over 20 varieties and endless color options, Arazzo has your project covered. This leather is best suited for both upholstery as well as handbag and small leather goods.

Arazzo Boulder Upholstery Leather is rustic, distressed leather with an aged, cozy appearance. Boulder is a waxed, smooth leather that is tumbled to create a crackle effect. The crackle effect is achieved using the “Crepaccio” method; a supple milling process allows a mixture of crackles to develop throughout the hides, which are then permanently fixed onto the hide. By pairing the traits of finished leather with the busy crackle look every part of the hide is usable.

Capri is a pure aniline leather from hand-selected European hides. The hallmark of this leather is its hand, its suppleness, and the unique softness. It is unsurpassed in touch. Subtle variations in tone and intensity are completely natural, giving each piece its individual character. Capri is buttery soft and has a very smooth surface. Visible insect-bites, wrinkles, and healed scars should be expected. Color variations throughout each hide add to the elegant charm of this leather.

Majestic is a pure aniline upholstery leather from hand-selected European hides. The unmatched sheen of this durable, aniline leather will continue to enhance with use. Subtle variations in tone and intensity are natural and give each piece individual character. Majestic has a very smooth surface, lending itself to a variety of applications. Visible insect bites, wrinkles, and healed scars should be expected. Color variations throughout each hide add to the elegant charm of this leather.

Portsmouth is a waxed pull-up leather from premium European hides. The leather features a dramatic pull-up effect with shade variations throughout the hide. It’s complimented by a smooth surface and a translucent glaze. Portsmouth is an aniline leather, retaining the texture and markings of the original hide. Visible insect-bites, wrinkles, and healed scars should be expected. Over time, Portsmouth will develop a patina further personalizing every piece.

Is Arazzo a tannery?
No, Arazzo is the name we’ve given to a collection of leather that we’ve curated. The Arazzo leathers all have similar characteristics, so we’ve grouped them together.
TEMPESTI
Tempesti is an Italian tannery that’s been producing high quality vegetable tanned leathers for more than 70 years. The Tannery Row carries six varieties of Tempesti leather, each with multiple color options. Tempesti’s leathers are unique for their suppleness and their color variety. Tempesti is great for bags, handbags, and small accessories.
Tempesti is a founding member of the Italian Vegetable Tanned Vera Leather Consortium, which regulates, protects and guarantees the production of vegetable tanned leather in Tuscany. You can read more about it here: https://www.pellealvegetale.it/

Tempesti Baku is produced on the Elbamatt base tannage and finished to produce a vegetable tanned leather with a subtle pull up. Baku is a single butt.

Tempesti Maine Eco Lux is a full vegetable tanned product produced on double shoulders. The additional Lux finish adds a subtle sheen to the leather giving it a slight glossy appearance. This classic leather is drum dyed and aniline finished.

This Tempesti leather is considered a classic Vachetta leather, is drum dyed and greased.

Elbamatt, Baku, & Maine - are the base tannages. We carry 3 main types of Tempesti leather.
Elbamatt - Single Butts (8-10 sf)
Baku - Single Butts (8-10 sf)
Maine - Double Shoulders (12-15 sf)
Liscio, Lux, Eco Lux – are the finishes.
Liscio means smooth in Italian
Lux – the leather has a subtle sheen on it
