New Smyrna is a calf suede dyed in deep indigo and washed to create a naturally evolving surface. The process allows the leather to breathe and settle, resulting in subtle distressing and tonal variation across each hide. The dye produces a marbled effect with visible shifts in color throughout.

Over time, warm undertones emerge with wear, adding depth and dimension. Soft yet structured, it is well suited for footwear, garments, and refined leather goods where texture and color development are central to the design.

Please note that all Atlantica’s leathers are natural and unrefined. Marks or variations are not defects, but rather authentic characteristics of the hide. Moreover, color may slightly vary from piece to piece, depending on each leather’s unique features. This is not to be considered a flaw.
